I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of Your Excellency's Despatch No 745 of the 19th Instant, in reply to mine regarding the exportation of Hurlike Stones from Hong Kong to Macao.
For thanking your Excellency for the goodwill you have shown towards facilitating such exportation, I beg to state with regret that the mode which I had the honor to suggest to you and which seemed to me to reconcile the provisions of the Treaty of 5th July, 1843...
